Free Agents Gradually Becoming the New Workplace Model

I ran into an article recently that discusses the future for IT workers. The prediction is that IT professionals will be a network of free agents who work plenty of hours but not for one employer.
It would be easy to dismiss this as a trend that's only happening in the IT world.  Rest assured dear friends, if it's going to save money for a company it's a change that will soon visit a profession near you.
